Ambassador Jürgen Borsch hosted a presentation of the German project One-Dollar-Glasses at his residence on 21st November. Managing Director, Alex Armbruster, came from Germany to open the presentation.

The "OneDollarGlasses" consist of a lightweight, flexible spring steel frame and prefabricated lenses. The whole set can be locally manufactured with simple bending machines. The name of the product refers to net material costs of around one US Dollar.

"A cheap pair of glasses affordable by people who live on 1 US-$ per day" - an invention by Martin Aufmuth. To find out more, visit the website of OneDollarGlasses .
