On 18 September 2014, representatives of the German Embassy visited Chadza Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) as part of the international sports promotion programme. Chadza CDSS in Lilongwe Rural East is one of the oldest Day Secondary Schools in Malawi and started way back in 1966. It has an enrolment of over 300 learners from Form 1 to Form 4. The Embassy was contacted by Headmaster Joseph Chunga, who became aware of the programme through research on the internet.

To give a boost to the school’s sports programme, which is organized by Godfrey Nyalenda and Lawrence Siwetala, the Embassy donated volleyballs, footballs, netballs, jerseys and other sports clothing. Both, the netball team and the football team demonstrated their skills during a short test game.
