On Wednesday 7 November 2012 German Ambassador to Malawi, Dr. Peter Woeste, personally handed over sports equipment to the school. The equipment includes different sports balls, a football uniform set and volleyball bibs.

Thom Mkandawire, the school’s deputy headboy, was grateful that his school was among ten Malawian schools selected to benefit from the ISP in 2012. Mkandawire described the donation as a timely intervention that has solved some of the school’s sports challenges.

ISP has formed part of Germany’s cultural relations and education policy since 1961. The aim of the ISP is to advance the development of amateur and popular sports in developing countries. This is implemented through training of sports coaches and donating sports equipment.
